The book launch of Ville Lenkkeri's Existence Doubtful will take place at ARTag gallery in Helsinki. Ville Lenkkeri's third book consists of pictures from Antarctica and Tierra del Fuego as well as of a text that uses the physical journeys as a frame, but takes side steps to subjects like humanism, colonialism, greed, representation and the potentials of photography. The book is published by Kerber Verlag.

The William Thuring Foundation's main prize and other designated prizes are awarded without application to mid-career artists between ages 35 and 45. On principle, the prize and the grants are awarded annually, and the funds to be awarded are included in the Foundation's annual donation to the Art Society.
