Miia-Mari Virtanen and Saana Wang at the Backlight Photo Festival

The Helsinki School artists Miia-Mari Virtanen and Saana Wang have been selected to participate in the 16th Edition of the Backlight Photo Festival 2020.
Backlight2020 is dedicated to present "photographic works, installations, augmented reality, virtual reality and multimedia projects that investigate and discover the connections between a multiplicity of our world’s realities, using science, technology and art."

The festival will take place from the 4 September – 8 November, 2020 in Tampere, Finnland in various locations. The main exhibition Related Realities will be presented in Gallery Himmelblau (Opening 4 September 2020).

In this context we are thrilled to especially congratulate Saana Wang for winning the third prize by the Majaoja Foundation at Backlight2020 with her work 2156!
