The exhibition presents side by side a selection of artworks from Elina Brotherus and the black-and-white photography of French-born Sara Imloul. Both artists use the camera as a conceptual tool to tell their autobiographic stories and to trap inner visions that are often put into a fairy-tale like framework. Combining Brotherus’ Fluxus-inspired concept art, and the black-and-white shots of Imloul, that awake associations with the art of 1920s Surrealism, the exhibition invites to a mystical walk between fiction and reality, between contemporary art and the hint of the past.
