Path (Moments)

In her series Path (Moments), Karhu captures a whole season in a single image. The images in this series retain the feeling of the Impressionist era, capturing the essence of each moment through color and emotion, but also creat­ing a sense of timelessness. She observes and participates in the cyclical flow of time, meticulously recording the subtle yet expan­sive changes that unfold in nature from season to season. Her pho­tographs transform into abstractions that transport viewers to another realm, creating a passage that alters reality by blurring the boundaries between one mo­ment and the next.
